Life Membership - Details of the new Life Membership are posted on the Membership Minutes page. Seniors - John Stephens has accepted the post of Seniors' Captain for 2010. Competition Entries - Please note that entries for weekly competitions now have to be made using the computer in the Club Room or from the Masterboard Web Site. The entry form software is easy to use, just follow the On Screen instructions. Also, please remember that on the day of the competition you must sign in on the computer or your entry will be void. The Club computer is now fitted with a Touch Screen, so you no longer have to use the keyboard or mouse when booking a competition or entering your score. Start Sheets & Results - These can now be viewed on the Web. Go to the Competition page and follow the links. You will need a password which you can obtain from Stewart. Web Site - Please would you let us have your ideas and suggestions for improving the web site. We wish to make it more useful to members and also try to encourage more visitors and new members to the club. Please let Stewart know your thoughts.

Bright for Golf Club -
Extracts from the 74th AGM in 1967, published in the local newspaper. It was reported that membership had
increased by 14 to 81. Finances had improved and the club was looking
forward to a new Clubhouse on the Downs. The Bar Committee had made a
profit of £200 and had reduced the overdraft. The ladies section was being
re-organised. The Clubhouse on the Whitwell Road had been disposed of and
80 acres of land on top of Rew Down had been purchased. The road from
Steephill Down tip to the 8th Tee had been levelled and a building had been
erected as a temporary Clubhouse. Officers elected were President: A J
